First Do No Harm
Naturopathic Medicine uses natural methods and organic substances to support and stimulate the body’s inherent self-healing processes.
The safety of the client is the most important aspect of what we do and when possible avoid the harmful suppressions of symptoms. We work with, not against the body’s natural healing tendencies in the gentlest way possible.
Naturopathic Medicine approaches the person as a whole, placing equal importance on the person’s physical, mental and emotional components. It is the role of the practitioner, as well as the client to remove any obstacles that may be hindering this healing power (such as poor diet, stress).

Naturopaths encourage people to optimise their health
The naturopathic approach to health care can prevent minor illnesses from developing into more serious or chronic degenerative diseases. Clients are taught the principles with which to live a healthy life and, by following these principles, they can prevent major illnesses. Prevention of disease is accomplished through patient education, good nutrition along with a healthy, balanced lifestyle.
Naturopaths are not satisfied with the absence of disease, but encourage people to optimise their health. This often requires an additional commitment to changing lifestyles and self-responsibility for health.
